Geography

Introduction

Based on its discipline, geography is a subject that studies about the earth’s surface or geosfer. R. Bintaro defines geography as a subject that conveys the earth’s structure and analyzes nature’s phenomenons. Seeing the two definitions above, we can concludse that geography is a subject that describes things found on land, water and air. If geography is a knowledge tree, atmosphere, lithosphere, hidrosphere, biospher and antroposphere are the roots. The branches are physical and human geogreaphy with technical geography as supporting branches. The approach uses in geography included space, environment and regional approach by using the technic of identification, inventaritation, analysis, syntesis, classification and evaluation.
